SELO KIT´N GROW PROGRAM
For Organizations
JSOL STUDIOS LLC co-designs programs alongside organizations and stakeholders that are committed to advocating for the holistic health and the mental wellbeing of children; prenatal to school-age youth.
We are committed to a community centered co-design process alongside organizations and stakeholders that are committed to advocating for and reconnecting to ancestral health and wellbeing of Black and Brown scholars and their families. Our organization builds awareness about the caregiver-child relationship(s) by creating and providing culturally relevant mental wellness educational programs such as our signature program: SELO Kit’nGrow.
- Our SocioEmotional Learning Opportunity (SELO) program facilitators (Public health Nurse, School Psychology and Naturopathic Doctor) along with children 4-12 years old and their caregivers, meet virtually and in-person for several weeks.
- Our facilitators engage families with activities centered around social emotional learning, self-care and regulation. Children and caregivers receive toolkits and guidance on using these tools and growing their regulation muscles all the while reflecting on ancestral healing practices with each other.
- Each session builds on the previous one and is co-designed to ensure that families gain skills to expand their socio-emotional vocabulary, apply a wellcare (wellness and self-care) routine, and practices centered around generational healing.
