Rooted in Community

Our Anchoring Our ROOTS community-based programs are born out of the wisdom and love for nature, and our appreciation for the generations that have come before us. The following values are represented through our logo;

  1. Our signature basket represents Heritage and Community Story telling woven and being passed down

  1. The seedling represents Mindfulness and Well-being we infuse in our selves and our children.

  2. The roots represent Sustainability and Stewardship anchored in our relationship with nature.

  3. The soil represents Empowerment through Knowledge shared through ancestral wisdom.

who are Childcare Providers

Natured Roots & Sprouting Wellness

Are you an auntie/uncle, grandparent, friend, older sibling or neighbor tending to community children (prenatal-5 yo)? You are a childcare provider and we would love to meet with you! We can support your wellness and childcare professional needs through monthly childcare health consultations.

Our Natured Roots and Sprouting Wellness program supports Black and Brown childcare providers to add elements of the outdoors and nature to their childcare practices.

Nature Sanctuary

We facilitate conversations about Afrodiaspora Indigenous story telling, land acknowledgement, children, environmental justice education and healing and Afro-diasporic indigenous plants. We ideate and brainstorm about our Auburn nature sanctuary plans and engage into feedback sessions.

This program is designed for King County residents who wish to contribute their knowledge and vision to the creation of safe and healing green spaces.

“Whether we learn how to love ourselves and others will depend on the presence of a loving environment. Self-love cannot flourish in isolation.”
